An alleged al-Qaida-linked suspect is now living under strict house arrest in his Toronto apartment.
The Globe and Mail reports that after spending seven years in detention under a security certificate, Mohamed Zeki Mahjoub has been released.
The Egyptian-born man allegedly once ran a Sudanese farming operation for Osama Bin Laden
Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day told the Globe and Mail that he’d rather see people like Mahjoub stay in detention.
