There is a law on the books called the LOGAN ACT that prohibits this sort of behavior in politicians, it has never been invoked in the century. That it has not been used is not the reason that it SHOULDN"T be used in this case.

It will take a resolve within the administration to apply it...The law reads thus:

§ 953. Private correspondence with foreign governments Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

Pelosi goes to bed at night and dreams up ways to destroy the USA. Her treasonous mouth along with the garbage out of the mouth of Harry Reid are, IMO, causing more American casualties in Iraq and Afganistan by emboldening our enemies. I can’t believe the families of the deployed troops are putting up with her treasonous rhetoric. Furthermore, I can’t believe that President Bush doesn’t make her words an issue before the American people.

In a more just world, she would indeed be tried as a traitor. Breaking with official government policy and meeting with leaders of other countries openly hostile towards us??? I'd try her, lock her up, and throw away the key.

She's over there trying the typical appeasement routine. If she studied history more, she'd realize Europe tried that several times in the past century, and it never, ever, worked out well.
