Democrats Remain in Front (GOP Nation map shows red states turning blue.)
GOP Nation Blog ^ | April 4, 2007

Posted on 04/05/2007 5:29:36 PM PDT by no dems

Our latest electoral college map shows that regardless of candidate, if the election were held today, a Democrat would be elected to the nation’s highest office. Red states that would flip include: Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas, Ohio and West Virginia. No Blue state would become red. The count would be: Democrats, 306, Republicans 232.

I think a more appropriate caption for the article would be to change the word "blue" to "YELLOW".

Hey, RNC: Get back to the Conservative Principles

I hear you but that statement is too general. The RNC can't fix it without a winning conservative candidate.

No way Arkansas goes Blue. Look at Bush’s margins there in ‘04 - there’s no way they swing that much.

OMG WE'RE DOOMED !! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE !!

Seriously, this is scare-tactics, nothing more.

1. It's just not accurate to say "regardless of candidate" because that assumes every vote votes party only. That's obvious BS.

2.A lot can happen in a year and a half. Clinton and Obama can burn out, somebody else can emerge. Same on the Republican side -- we don't have any idea who's going to be running.

3. > Get back to the Conservative Principles.

EXACTLY CORRECT !! Of course, easier said than done...

yeah sure, going FURTHER right is going to solve this.

look at the list - CO, NM and NV are going Dem because of the Hispanic vote in those states is moving away from republicans. and its because of people like Tancredo.

and I take issue with this poll - I think for example, Rudy would take PA over Hillary in the general.

Too bad for the Democrats the election isn’t tomorrow. A lot can happen between now and November 2008 and these current polls and predictions mean nothing.

Hey, RNC: Get back to the Conservative Principles.

They could run on the slogan: "No leadership, no guts, and no principles."

Obviously, I've been a little less than happy with them.

I'm not surprised. If given a choice between a Democrat and a liberal Republican, I'd sit out the election.

Then the blood of every American killed by terrorists would be on your hands even more than those who voted Democrat.

Something better happen and happen fast

If the Iraq war keeps going through next year, it's curtains for the GOP in the election. You might not like hearing that, but it's true.

In the end, regardless of the candidate, the only American thing to do is help him run hard enough that when elected, the right is at his side, with him publically thanking us for making victory possible........anything else is putting self ahead of country and countrymen.

Uh, when did Hispanics ever vote Republican? Look at the Latino countries - they're socialist all of them (Chile perhaps, excepted). And you expect Latinos from Cental and South America to become limited-government conservatives when they come to the US? In what state or federal election did a majority of Hispanics (or Latinos, or whatever you want to call them) vote Republican? Maybe in Miami, with the Cuban refugees from communism, but nowhere else. Tancredo didn't make them vote Democrat, they've ALWAYS voted Democrat. Bush is killing the Republican Party by opening the Southern border to massive immigration of future Democrat voters.
