So we're now posting letters to the editor to try to prop up Rudy? Isn't enough to post when county commissioners, etc endorse?

Whatever...

Why would Christopher Miles waste a perfectly good vote on a liberal like Guiliani? Has Chrissy been smokin’ dope?

“I would say that anyone who wants to have government tell others how to live by their religious standards is not conservative at all.”

For many opposition to abortion isn’t based on religious precepts. Its due to the simple fact that the act is the destruction of life. And life is viewed under conservatism, IMHO, as a primary object worth defending and protecting. Whether or not its the job of the Federal govt or the state is another story but the point stands. The idiot author of this piece is simply trying to shelve the abortion issue by tying opposition to abortion to the GOP religious busybodies. Yes they exist and are just as disgusting as the leftwing varient. But sorry, nice try - no dice.

Rudy says "a woman has a right to choose" to kill her unborn baby.

He's wrong, a woman DOES NOT have a right to choose to kill her unborn baby no matter what the lawyers say.

He will not get the nomination based on that alone.

Patton represents the religious right movement that has taken over the Republican Party.

When I see something like this, it makes me think one thing.

Anti-Christian bigot.

The rest of the rah-rah was soiled after that bit of venom.

Post #8 well said! Being pro-life has nothing to do with “interfering” with other people’s rights. Humans believe that life should be protected since the dawn of time. The author uses a big strawman here.

I don’t see anyone writing letters to the editor supporting other candidates...

That's because we know what our candidates stand for and they're confident in their beliefs and in own skin. Compare Rudy's schizo statements with that of a Hunter, who's grounded in his beliefs without regard to public opinion polls or MSM hit pieces. If you've got to shill for someone who's supposedly leading the polls, especially this early in the race, then that said candidate is in trouble.

I would say that anyone who wants to have government tell others how to live by their religious standards is not conservative at all.

Translation: Voters with moral values will not be welcome in Giuliani's GOP.

“However he is ready to jettison a candidate on one issue only. Patton equates conservatism to pro-life.”

Giuliani would fund abortions with taxpayer money, which is a socialist plan, not a conservative plan. And it’s not just “one issue”. Giuliani is a champion of gay rights and same-sex “unions”; he marched in a Gay Pride parade in NYC. He wants national gun laws and national registration of all guns, has supported Bloomberg’s anti-gun position, and supported the Clintonista Gun Ban of 1994. He would violate the Second Amendment with unconstitutional laws. Giuliani has said, “most of Bill Clinton’s policies are very similar to mine”. Giuliani can’t be trusted anymore than McCain.

It’s news to me that you’re not a conservative if you have objections to murder.
