You are exactly correct. If this is a conspiracy, then, a lull would be correct for more carnage.

When sh$t like this goes down, it takes a good while to get all the facts and put the puzzle together.

I imagine they’ll send employees home, but not sure I’d call it an evacuation. I seriously doubt they’ll take all students off campus. But word out of Burruss is that it’s over. I hope so.

Nice to have a Freeper on the scene, CNN is probably getting their news from a DU on the scene.

The Waco situation developed unexpectedly, so its date is a coincidence. However, several incidents since then have been “scheduled” for that date.

Of course, the 19th is Lexington and Concord anniversary ... but nobody’s attacking the British, or vice-versa :-).

Horrible! This is reminiscent of the TX tower shooting in the 60’s at UT, Austin, where about a dozen were killed and more wounded. At work, we watched as he picked off people even on the street a block away, The daughter of a coworker worked in a shop on that street, and we watched in horror as she came outside to see what was going on, but luckily was shooed back inside before anything happened. Turned out to be a Vietnam vet who went beserk and went up in the tower with an arsenal. Hope they apprehend this shooter before he gets any more.

What are the gun laws in VA? Any chance of someone carrying—I doubt it on campus.

But of course, it's far more likely to be some asshole who can't accept that he's been dumped by a girl.

Or got the grade he/she earned.

I’m a trucker and was NB on I81 by Blacksburg when this occured. There must have been 40 cops rolling and 15 ambulances rolling SB from Roanoke, VA.

Based upon the amount of emergency equipment rolling, there must be more than 1 dead and 6 injured.

The list is starting to get noticibly long, and it’s almost impossible to protect people from it.

"Almost" being the key work, however.

Casualties in military terms means just “out of action”. So it can be wounded, killed, missing.

Civilians tend to mistakenly think it means “killed”, but it’s really a more encompassing term.
