And people are now screaming why wasnt campus locked down?
Police are going to hang themselves on this one. The answer is, nobody locks a whole campus down for a murder. That is what they thought they had. I like to second guess people with the best of them, but I don't think I lock down the whole campus on the first incident.
Instead of arguing that, these guys are making the mistake of saying they couldn't lock down the campus because of logistics.

Agreed.
Though it sounds like there’s some gaps here in terms of the investigation...and what’s being released...
The rush to find someone to blame OTHER THAN THE SHOOTER is pretty sickening. In typical fashion- the media is insisting this investigation be completed in time for their next broadcast.

The answer is, nobody locks a whole campus down for a murder. We just had one of these murder-suicides at UW in Seattle. They locked down the building and people in other buildings went about their business. I was on the phone w/a friend when the news came over FNC and I told her. No police or lock down at her building at all.

FV SAYS: LE lost track of the shooter in the first shooting. For some reason, there was an all clear even though the shooter's location was unknown. Should have been APB, not an all clear.
They assumed shooter was still in the dorm. He outfoxed them.
"Person of interest out there loose" per presser.
