Eyewitnesses at Virginia Tech university have been emailing the BBC News website describing the scene at the campus, where at least 22 people have been killed and more injured.

Looks like the SWAT team couldn’t save anyone.
They raced to the scene with their bullet-proof vests and automatics weapons and proceeded to hide behind cars in the parking lot while the unarmed students were left to fend for themselves - for more than 2 hours - against a heavily armed gunman.

Whatever happened to moving towards the sound of the guns?

Looks like this SWAT team ran from the sound.

This guy was allowed to shoot unarmed people for over 2 hours.

Not a chance. The gun grabbers will instead try to push for more gun control and a "really gun free zone," ensuring that this kind of thing will happen again. Remember, the left thrives on death and operates based on feelings. Don't expect rational reactions from them...

My daughter told me a couple of days ago that they were allowed to have guns in their cars now but that they had to leave them there. I asked her what the hell were they good for if they're in the car? I guess if something happened in the parking lot she'd be prepared.

This is in La. She drives back and forth to school with a .45 tucked down next to her.

I agree. I was posting on a thread about our 2nd amenment and how other countries are working to get rid of our RTKABA. Then I saw this story.

College students age 18 to 22 running around campus armed with handguns? There would be far more killed and injured than what happened at VA Tech. Based on my own college experience, I would hate to think what would happen. Fistfights would become gunfights. Insane.

They’re not saying yet but I wouldn’t rule it out. Virginia Tech has a very large Pakistani foreign exchange program and most of them study some sort of engineering degree.
