I am heartbroken at the news. Kay, you will be sorely missed, my friend. You will be missed by all of us -- all of us because you are among the sweetest and kindest of freepers. You truly live the spirit of Christ in every way.

I pray for you, I pray for your family. I pray that you have a joyous homecoming. I hope to meet you someday -- I know I will. {{{{{{{{{kayak}}}}}}}}}}

Dear Lord, grant your faithful servant Kay true peace, the peace of your everlasting love and salvation. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Prayers for your mom and family. I have found out in the last 2 weeks that 5 members of my family have been diagnosed with cancer of some sort. 2007 has been a horrible year. I wish you nothing but comfort and grace. What an asset we are losing here on FR.

In The End

Rush

Lyrics - Neil Peart

Well, I can see what you mean
It just takes me longer
And I can feel what you feel
It just makes you stronger

I know, I know, I know
Oh, the feeling grows
I see, I see, I see
It’s got to be

You can take me for a little while
You can take me, you can make me smile in the end

Well, I can do what you do
You just do it better
And I can cry like you cry
It just makes me sadder

Well, I can shine like you shine
It doesn’t make me brighter
But if I think like you think
It don’t make my load much lighter...

Time

Alan Parsons Project

Time, flowing like a river
Time, beckoning me
Who knows when we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river
To the sea

Goodbye my love, Maybe for forever
Goodbye my love, The tide waits for me
Who knows when we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea

Till it’s gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore

Goodbye my friends, Maybe forever
Goodbye my friends, The stars wait for me
Who knows where we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea

Till it’s gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore....

So sorry to hear about Kayak! What a day today has been. First the VT tragedy, and then to hear this. I’m praying for Kay and her family through my tears.

Poppy, your mom and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers all day. This hymn speaks of the hope we have in Christ; the Church Triumphant, which Kay is about to join, and the Church Militant, those of us still left on earth. We're all one in Christ, which is the Communion of the Saints.

For All the Saints

For all the saints, who from their labors rest,
who thee by faith before the world confessed,
thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

Thou wast their rock, their fortress, and their might;
thou Lord, their captain in the well-fought fight;
thou in the darkness drear, their one true light.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

O may thy soldiers, faithful, true, and bold,
fight as the saints who nobly fought of old,
and win with them the victor's crown of gold.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
yet all are one in thee, for all are thine.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

And when the strife is fierce, the warfare long,
steals on the ear the distant triumph song,
and hearts are brave again, and arms are strong.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,
through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost:
Alleluia, Alleluia!

A small part of your goodness will live on here at FR. ohioWfan and I will post your prayer list for our FReeper family members in service to our country.

Dearest Kay, my prayers are tearful now, but I hope they’ll turn to joy once you’re in the arms of our Savior and Lord.

What a welcome you’re going to receive! Angels will sing, saints will march and people you never met in this life already know of your sweetest soul and they are waiting to welcome you -— you’ve prayed for so many of them.

You’re going to be forever missed amd always loved by those of us whose lives you have enriched with your friendship.

(((Kay)))

Kay, your goodness remains with us in the form of many sweet memories.

Remember the summer of '00? I wrote that I had some Bush bumper stickers, and you hadn't found one, so I sent one to you? And then...the summer of '04, you returned the favor sending me that year's version??:-)

And what about those delicious breakfasts you provided for years...all that food and time in the kitchen! My, my! But it was worth it, right? :-)

Kay we love you for your generous and loving spirit which will never die.

I am so saddened to hear this, yet so happy to know that Kayak is ready to go and that you all have helped her by letting her know it is ok to go.

I am more frequent than a lurker here, but I don't post as often as many. I cannot say that I remember one meaningful exchange with your mother, but I know that we have had our discussions. I could always count on her to "have my back," as the kids say. Kayak, to me, was not one of those bombastic, "everybody look at me" type of posters. She quietly made her presence known here, and I remember her for that. She seemed ordinary, yet there was nothing ordinary about her.

She, you, and your family are in my prayers.

Words fail me. Go with God Kayak. You have traveled the road here on Earth with Him and now it is time to walk the paths of Heaven with Him.

You are showing us all how to do it, but we will miss you.

I with tears too say “see you later” to my sweet friend, Kay. May she have perfect peace when she awakens in Your presence and may her dear family know Your love and comfort at this time. She’s been a faithful warrior for you. And I thank you for having known her.

Prayers for you and your family.

The Lighthouse

There's a lighthouse on the hillside that overlooks life's sea.
When I'm tossed it sends out a light that I might see.
And the light that shines in darkness now will safely lead me home,
If it wasn't for the lighthouse, my ship would sail no more.

And I thank God for The Lighthouse,
I owe my life to Him.
Jesus is The Lighthouse and from the rocks of sin,
He has shown the light around me, so that I might clearly see.
If it wasn't for The Lighthouse,
Where would this ship be?

Everyone that lives around us, says tear that old lighthouse down,
The big ships don't sail this way anymore,
ain't no use in it standing round.
But then my mind goes back to that stormy night,
when just in time I saw the light
With the light from that old lighthouse, that stands there on the hill.

And I thank God for The Lighthouse,
I owe my life to Him.
Jesus is The Lighthouse and from the rocks of sin,
He has shown the light around me,
so that I might clearly see.
If it wasn't for The Lighthouse,
Where would this ship be?

Kayak, what a day to comprehend, losing you here on FR. You are so dear to all especially ATRW, been through two rough elections and as well as good times as a family here. You will be sorely missed here my dear sister.
