Just about all students carry a back pack or book bag. Those with a concealed carry license should just buy a suitable pack, carry their weapon and shut up about it. Nobody will know about it unless using it becomes necessary.

Except that one little peek of your gun by your roommate or any other wussified student in your dorm will likely lead to a report that leads to prompt expulsion, and the ruin of your educational career.

Not like living in your own home where (outside of DC and NYC) you can legally possess a gun.

When I was in college I and a couple of roomies rented a house so I never experienced the dubious pleasures of dorm life. We all owned firearms of various types so ‘guns being discovered’ was a non-consideration.
