That's because Tom Clancy and 24 are more satisfying and understandable than real life, which is often senseless and complicated.

I wouldn't go so far as to label them 'fantasy-prone personalities', but you get the picture.

You're right, I guess, but since I've never seen "24" and haven't read a Clancy novel, I don't have a frame of reference to go by.

Thoughtful, fact filled posts used to be what the majority of threads contained here. That hasn't been the case for far too long, now. Fantasy seems to be what most posters now feel compelled to write.
