Largely overlooked in the Virginia Tech Massacre story is the fact that if “Cho” had decided not to carry out his rampage, he would have graduated next month with a degree in English Literature. How’s that for academic standards

Actually, Tech is a pretty tough school, at least for a Business or Engineering major, I can't speak to an English major. I have 3 buddies that flunked out of the Business program.

This article says some teachers gave him A’s because they were afraid of him. Guess that’s how he got to his Senior year.
