I never had a discussion with Boris and maybe that is because he was way too smart for me. His bio is quite impressive and no surprise to me as the level of intellect that graces Free Republic generally towers over other sites I frequent.

Sorry to hear about your friend.
He sounds like he made the best of his life that he could. People like that are revered and their loss impacts us hard because their life added value and meaning to all of our lives.
