If the Rutgers women's basketball players had spurned an invitation to meet with President Bush, do you think ABC might have told us about it? Natch. But when those same players blew off a chance to meet Hillary Clinton, ABC managed to put a positive spin on matters.
View video here.As reported by Newsday in an article entitled Rutgers team skips Clinton meeting
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton finally dropped by Rutgers to meet with the school's women's basketball coach -- but the players themselves skipped the half-hour meeting, citing their studies and Imus fatigue.
"Many of the players were in study hall from eight to noon and some had finals," explained a Rutgers source who said the players were "tired" of all the attention. "These young women need to do their classes, and wrap their spring semester."It's enough to give a guy flashbacks to co-eds shooting him down for a Saturday-night date because they had to study.
Senator Hillary Clinton paid a visit Friday to Rutgers University. She met with the coach of the women's basketball team. She said the young women showed the world the difference between bravery and bravado.A clip of Hillary on stage at Rutgers was flashed, and that was it. Not a discouraging word of the snub by the players was heard. You remember the old Bing Crosby song:
You've got to ac-cen-tu-ate the positive. At least when it comes to an MSM outlet's treatment of a leading Dem presidential contender, that is.
E-lim-in-ate the negative.
Best kind of clinton news! Another: Hubby Bill’s saying it wouldn’t be too bad if she lost. (BUT he also quibbled when he said “Women should run everything.”)
Media in her pocket and combine that with the fact that the clinton machine will do anything and everything to win ‘08’s election.......
Those of us who love truth, liberty, and justice have learned to hold many so-called "journalists" in utter contempt. This is why.
My, this IS something good to wake up to, isnt it?
I don't know what he's talking about.
I didn’t know that college students have study hall. Or is it only for athletic teams?
Who know’s what they would have done if Obama had offered to show up but nothing is certain.
For your information, Vivian Stringer’s pastor and friend is Buster Soaries......a well known and fairly Conservative black Republican. In 2003, Pastor Soaries was appointed by President Bush to serve as public director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York. He unsuccessfully ran as a Republican against Democrat Rush Holt for the 12th Congressional District. Members of the Rutgers Women’s Basketball Team also occassionally attend services at his church, The First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset, New Jersey.
Not everything is cut and dry.
The team didn’t want to be used for a photo op with Hilliary. Good for them!
“Not everything is cut and dry.”
That’s why my “bet” is only $100 and not $1000. :)
Naturally. ABC along with the rest of the left-winged press are in her corner putting positive spins on anything she does. Even at MSNBC, Dan Abrams is actively and without question, telling all the anchors there to churn out pro-Hillary garbage.
Maybe hitlery was asking for a date and the whole team turned her down.
heheheh, good one.
The team obviously understood why she was there.
Congrats Ladies....
“study hall”??? in college? 8-12:00? Yeah riiight!!!
The Rutgers coach now is asking for a $900,000 contract.
To h3!! with studying! Hillary needs a photo op! Who do these "N-H-H's" think they are?(sarcasm)
BINGO - I’m in for another $100
Knowing the history of Douglass College and the caliber of women who attended Rutgers then and now I say:
"R! U! Rah Rah!
Upstream Red Team!
Go! Red! Go!"
Hildebeast! They're Scarlet Knights! You're Knot!
