Not according to the historical marker or their own website, which says, "Beth El Hebrew Congregation was founded in 1859 ...., Beth El continues its distinction as Northern Virginia’s first and longest-lived congregation."

(you DO know what that means, don't you, since you're an "expert on everything"???).

Of course I do. It's the minimum number of men needed for a service. You need ten men to make a minyan. Now here's one for you: Where was the first dedicated synagogue in the United States?

the first synagogue in the USA??? i have NO idea. probably either in Spanish FL or Spanish CA.
