Breaking on CNN a few minutes ago.
1 plane down in neighborhood, status of pilot or occupants unknown at this time.

It’s an amazing show!
We always were treated to the practice days and then the shows on the weekend. Not much work got done during those practice days.

No one seems to know for certain, a witness on the scene says the only pieces of the plane remaining would fit in your hand.Having lived there, I know the ground is essentially sandy mud. Any big chunks are buried.

CNN’s website is saying the pilot is alive, but not confirmed,
“I was told [the pilot] was alive, but I can’t confirm that,” a South Carolina state trooper speaking on condition of anonymity told CNN.
I am tired of “sources” and tired of running news without any confirmation.

It sounds like it will be hard to determine what happened...unless there is a “black box”..since the plane seems to have been torn apart so badly.
Dang...this is so sad.

There is no way that a Blue Angel would eject without steering the airplane away from homes.
He would have gone “down with his ship”.

I wish they would have withheld that info until the family could be notified. That’s difficult with a high profile team like the Blues, but some effort should still be made.

My daughter in Beaufort reports that TV is saying that the plane crashed into base housing in Willow Grove.

I absolutely adore the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Canadian Snowbirds and every other precision flying team.
