Well A-4 driver then what did you think of pukin dog's comment at post 132?
See..I personally know Two A-4 pilots that steered away from homes. One lost control on disconnect and one ran out of gas. I know two both these pilots tried (radio traffic) to avoid housing and both were successful. One lived, one rode it all the way in.
I worked on them Skyhawks for 20 years.

Years ago I saw a film clip on tv showing an A-4 doing 90 degree snap rolls down the length of the runway at an airshow. The pilot did 2 more rolls than he should have and ended up inverted. The wings wobbled as the pilot evidently got confused and lost his situational awareness. The he apparently pulled back on the stick instinctively to get out of the jam and flew into the ground inverted.
Do you know anything about that?
