Two of my pilot buddies on site say it had been a spectacular performance for the Blues and watched them perform the fan break when they realized #1 and #6 did not circle back to land.
Thats when they noticed a Blues jet circling with it’s smoke on flying over what turned about to be the crash scene.
However, it was not until the boss landed with #6 still missing that the show realized it had a plane down.
The two pilots heard emergency responders call for a life flight helicopter who said the pilot was alive.
Although a coroner has been called to the scene, its unclear if someone on the ground may have also been injured. One of the performers we talked to said he saw the Life flight helicopter fly away from the scene in the direction of Charleston SC.
There hasnt been any more information discussed by responders or with the show performers.

I’m always amazed there are any non liberal members of the press out there! Gives one some hope.
Thanks for the update. And, by the way, welcome to FR. Please understand. Pukin Dog is an aviator and something like this hits him especially hard. Then, when those of us who don’t know how the situation can unfold, well, it can get pretty emotional. I don’t know Pukin Dog, but I can emphasize.
I guess what I’m saying is, at times like these, when the news/situation is fresh or immediate, the best thing to do is take a deep breath, sit back, and let our logic take control; not our emotions. And threads like this, the spontaneous ones, do get emotional sometimes.
Prayers for or Blue Angels. Prayers for anyone on the ground who was affected. And God’s blessings to everyone.
Again, welcome to FR, agent_delta.
