Ron Paul is for legalizing marijuana and anti-school vouchers. I doubt social conservatives support that.

Legalizing marijuana is a conservative issue. It's none of the government's business whether individuals want to consume a drug that's been used for thousands of years with no deaths or side effects.

Government shouldn't be involved in school vouchers either. It shouldn't be involved in education period.

Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it?

Unfortunately it has already. Conservatives can also fight back by distancing themselves from the socialists in the Republican party and form a Conservative party.

Call it the FreeRepublic Party! I couldn't go back the pacifist Libertarian and Constitution Parties. That is also against Jefferson's intent. President Jefferson sent U.S. Marines to North Africa to fight Muslims in 1803.

But, having said that, until I discover otherwise, Fred Thompson is my choice for President.

You and I disagree on a lot, but my English geek thanks you for that.

That’s your opinion. Most social conservatives don’t hold that view.

If you believe Rudy is no liberal

OK, now, quote where I said he was.

Why can't you guys admit that you're wrong?

Wrong about what? My last few posts weren't about Rudy. In fact, if you go back, it was more about conservatism.

Stop with the tomfoolery!

Why don't you stop putting words into my mouth.

I like your picture, but Reagan DID NOT appoint Giuliani. He was appointed by the Attorney General.

Indeed he was, William French Smith I believe was Reagan's first attorney general, and Edwin Meese was his successor, who Giuliani called a 'sleaze'.

But you are right on the mark, Reagan did not personally select Giuliani, he had Rudy over for the photo op, and that was pretty much it.

Still here, but I’m planning on donating to Rudy as a result of this thread.

Might as well donate to Planned Parenthood and the Brady Campaign too while you're at it.

No one tells me how to think or how to vote.

We're not telling you what to think we're just posting the facts about your candidate. If you want to support a gun-grabbing/homosexual rights supporting/pro-abortionist candidate be my guest, but don't bloviate that he's a conservative and he's the only one who can beat Hillary.

Thanks. Several wars to fight yet! Rudy Giuliani will NOT get the nomination. The tools at hand, the skills and knowledge to be applied, and any and all resources being made available puts Rudy Giuliani in a position where stepping down with grace will seem an attractive option.

Good grief. The man is an abortionist. The Republican party is pro life. The man is a gay rights supporter. The Republican party is pro traditional family. The man is a gun grabber. The Republican party is pro second amendment. The man is poison to the Republican party.

And don’t try to lie about or justify his stated and demonstrated positions. That’ll just be another example of the damage he does and the poison he’s spreading.

What I think is that you should read it. It is well writen, and added a lot to my knowledge about the genesis of e pluribus unam. Marshall was a key player in that, and without him, I suspect this wonderful nation would not now exist. That is my opinion. The shining light on the hill would have cast no light.

I think we are feeling pressured to find our candidate NOW because of the dem lineup.

I believe we are feeling pressured to choose our candidate because of the garbage being thrown out there about Rudy being the "only" one, and all the Rudy hype.

People were falling for that.

I do like Duncan Hunter the best, but I will support most all of the candidates if they win, except Rudy.
