Please don’t get banned. You’re one of the good people here. :)

Because comparing it with Mr. Robinson’s original post, there would be reasonable particulars for banning supporters of Ron Paul and libertarians in general.

You are trying to compare apples to oranges. Jim has not set out to be a Nazi and squelch all speech that isn't Jim Robinson approved on the website. Rudy just goes against so many of the values that he couldn't possible be considered conservative. We aren't arguing whether Rudy is a Republican, we are arguing whether he is a conservative. You can be a conservative libertarian. Ron Paul is probably not going to recieve wide support here and his supporters will probably feel attacked at times so they might not be that comfortable here all the time.

But, really have you seen bands of Ron Paul supporters running all over the threads smearing other candidates, disrupting threads and insulting other posters because they have conservative beliefs? The majority of Ron Paul supporters will talk honestly about Ron Paul's views and they don't make him out to be somthing he is not. Jim is purging disruptors and promotion of liberal candidates, not stifling talk about the differences between conservative candidates.

I know that it's Spiff's purpose (and others) to get me banned for being a pro-life conservative who doesn't support Rudy. I don't know if he'll get his wish or not

I don't think you have much to worry about.. Everyone luvs ya OhioWfan. Your character stands on it's own two feet and always heads in the "right" direction.

But I would still like to have 100 more Congressman like him.

I wouldn't. If we had 100 more like him, we wouldn't have toppled Saddam's regime, and brought democracy to Iraq. Ron Paul voted against the Iraq War. The only Republican to do so.

It's tough there now, but who said war was quick or easy?

Despite the fact that his record is a throwback to what America used to be.

Well I got the answer I was looking for

Yeah, hoorah, then we could surrender to the nearest enemy and get it over with. 100 more house members like that and it’s sharia law for all.

I believe you. My best back to you.

And I know you will keep PRAYING for this election that the person of God's choosing will emerge and win.

May God have mercy on this nation!

He supports the president’s policy in Iraq. He is unafraid of the UN. He places our national interest ahead of silly moralistic hand-wringing.

Is that how Rudy described himself, a "foreign policy conservative," or something that you surmised? I'm only asking because I haven't seen any substantive comments from him on anything other than Iraq withdrawal and "rebuild" effort. Did he describe his foreign policy as you have, or is that your interpretation of something he said/wrote?

Problem is, guys like Hunter or Thompson have little to chance of winning states like New York, Connecticut, Oregon, Washington, New Jersey, etc.

How do you know?

Guiliani wins all of our solid Red states and makes us quite competitive in more than a few blue states.

How? Set aside transient polls for a moment and look at the fundamentals: We know he will lose a significant number of votes from two major GOP constituencies (social conservatives and libertarian conservatives). Where does he get the votes to make up for those he loses, plus some more to put him over the top?

I don’t know why my buddy Spiff would be fighting with you. He’s a big anti-Giuliani guy. That’s basically his battle, as it is mine.

If you are a pro-life, anti-Giuliani, Christian conservative, your pedigree is the same as mine, only guns is my paramount issue, instead of abortion, which I don’t fight much over, because we usually lose the argument.

I know that it's Spiff's purpose (and others) to get me banned for being a pro-life conservative who doesn't support Rudy. I don't know if he'll get his wish or not............but at this point, I'm not sure it matters......

Come on, no one wants you banned.

I don't think Jim wants anyone banned, but is sick of people lying about good conservatives to promote a liberal like Rudy.

This is a very serious time in the Republican party, and Jim understands what a man like Rudy would do to our nation and to destroy the "conservative movement.

Sorry some of your friends got banned, or more like suspended. They'll probably be back.

Thank you, Knitting! I know that you share my burden to pray for this election.

And while we're at it, we need to pray for this forum. It will accomplish nothing, and the reasoned voices will be stilled if this kind of thread is indicative of the future......
