A thousand Swedes came through the weeds, and not a man among 'em.

(This irritated my grandmother, who was 100% Norwegian. I guess she was sticking up for Scandinavians in general.)

The Scandinavians were tough. They sure have gone ‘pc’ lately.

Some individuals still get it now and there were some in WW II...hopefully more will wake up soon.
