Glocks do not feed off of “clips”, they feed off of magazines.

And he had more than four magazines, or so the reports say. They also mention that he was using the 30 or 33 round magazines that are available for purchase.

Holy shit. Read #27 above. You could buy 34 round glock 18 mags during the “ban” as long as they were manufactured before 1994.

Mags, clips I think you get the drift.

I haven’t found a report that says he definitely had used a high capacity clip, do you have a link?

Yep, new and used.

Since he used Glocks, getting a high-capacity “clip” would be impossible.

Getting a high capacity magazine would not.

As far as ANY story on ABC about ANY topic is concerned we might well ask:

Has the Anything But Credible network ever reported any story accurately?

Forward a copy to numbnutz at ABC/NBC/See BS.
I doubt they would learn anything from it tho....they would have to want to learn.

In the past, I've tried explaining to "journalists" why a semi-automatic-only rifle isn't an "assault rifle".

Talk about an exercise in futility.

They don't know anything about firearms, and aren't the least bit interested in learning.

That’s what I thought.

However, It is not legal to ship firearms and ammo in the same package.

AND, it is not legal to ship firearms except from one FFL license holder to another FFL license holder.

I remember this from my younger days when I worked at UPS. Boxes fall apart sometimes...it couldn’t be helped. When a firearm was discovered(it happened more often than you would expect), it had to be turned over to management. Then they contacted the ATF or the FBI, I forget which. IF there were any violation, they sent an undercover agent to UPS and dressed him up in UPS uniform and sent him to the address in a UPS truck. Whoever signed for the package was arrested.

G18 mags are either 31 or 33 rounds depending on whether it has a +2 magazine extension or not. It’s possible to load 34 rounds maximum into the pistol, but the magazine will not hold that many.

EBay is meticulous about prohibiting auctions of ammunition. Does anybody have the link to the “inert brass” auction that was a thread on FR?

I don’t think the media’s stunt with the firearms issue is going anywhere in this report. Even gun control advocates are not buying into it.

A guy that professed to be a gun control advocate told me that he didn’t think this was the proper case to be used to increase gun restrictions. His reasoning was that cho was so deranged that he simply would have built a bomb if there were no guns available to him. So he reasons that cho’s accessibility to handguns may have actually saved lives since he would have potentially killed more with a bomb.

I believe that you are correct.

The average non gun owning person already thinks a 15 round glock is an assult weapon.

Sales of ammunition online is very illegal.

Huh? I've purchased ammunition online before, but it has been a number of years... I know that I used to by able to buy it through "cheaper than dirt" and a number of other on-line vendors. Did the laws change while I wasn't looking?

They are probably doing us a favor. We don’t need records on the internet of every ammo purchase made in the US.

Alot of them were junk too...manufactured in haste just before the ban took effect...no quality control.

I know, I got burnt on a few for a berretta 92.

The one magazine that was most affected by the ban was 25 and 50 rd. mags for the Ruger 10-22. They were selling for more than the price of the gun.

At the same time you could buy 30 rd AK clone mags for $10 and 75 rd drums for $100.
