Have to disagree with the idea that the WMDs weren’t shipped out of country. Bush declaring WMDs did not exist makes no sense in the absence of it being to protect Russian culpability.
By the way, what is the status of the documents? Are they back on line?

It makes sense if the overpowering need was to keep them out of the hands of Al Queda and (later) the insurgents. If we acknowledge they exist, then we have to find them before they do. All of them.
