Interesting that Thompson even beat out Duncan Hunter on his own turf

Where are all those posters who insistied Rudy would destroy Hunter in California?
Hey! We’re a state that even the right wing CA Republican Assembly rushes home to watch Entertainment Tonight, and Inside Edition and all the other Hollyweird celebrity worship services on TV! After all, look at the weirdo we elected Governor with a whole lot of CA Freepers convinced he was some kind of conservative!!! Phhhhhhhht!!!
California will always be "home turf" to an actor. I also suspect that people in the northern part of the state don't see southern California as "their state" anyway. In any case, the win is a good one for Mr. Thompson. Mr. Romney's people should be pleased, and I'm happy to see Mr. Hunter coming that close in a state where his base is a relatively small section of the state. If the race comes down to these three candidates, I'll feel better about the race than I've felt in a long time. The other one that I want to see considered is Jim Gilmore. He has great qualifications to be president and great positions on the issues.
