Excellent link anita!! Looks like Tenet did indeed throw us all a huge "Curve" ball. once again it's sad that GW kept so many Clintonistas on board.

He did so I am sure in a Christian manner of taking a person at his word until proven otherwise. But in the winner take all game of big league politics truth can be elusive at best.

Tenet didn’t have to “throw a curve ball” to get his 15 minutes of fame. All anyone has to do to get onto these Sunday shows, is bash Bush - in a book, on stage, in front of a camera, and bingo. The DBM will pay good money for an interview.

Amen, brother!

Great point and something we all need to remember.

...once again it's sad that GW kept so many Clintonistas on board.

This is a myth that keeps getting repeated. All political appointees must submit their resignations when a new President comes into office. This includes career personnel who are occupying political appointee jobs as listed in the Plum Book. Comparing the Plum books for 1996, 2000 and 2004 shows no significant holdover of personnel. Note that the CIA only has 8 political appointee jobs, some of them filled by career personnel.

The only way so-called Clintonistas could stay on would be for them to move into career positions by becoming civil service employees. There were a few, but not many as the GAO Report details.
