France elects what it preceives as a “Conservative.” Meanwhile, the good ol’ USA handed the socialist in America the House and Senate in 2006 and are hell bent on giving the White House to them in 2008.

Never thought I’d congradualte the French for seeing the forest through the trees. Congrats, frogs.

I agree, if the riots start he will need to nip them in the bud right from the start.

Especially since the National Assembly election is only a month away. I think the riots will start to try to influence those elections. If Sarkozy can't calm the riots quickly, he will lose credibility, hurting the UMP and basically losing his ability to direct domestic policy if the right can't maintain a majority.

What’s this with a Mediterranean Union????

It's a union between Europe and the Muslim states that the European elites have been plotting for a while.

The full name is the Euro-Mediterranean Union. Background:

The European Commission appears generally satisfied: signed association agreements, some by their hair, with the countries from the South (except Syria), stabilized macro-economics of the countries of the South of the Mediterranean basically achieved, controlled inflation, improvement of the MEDA program, periodical meetings on all levels, increase in economic aid, greater participation in the BEI. All of this does not stop the commission from recognizing certain slowness in the ratification of the signed agreements based on administrative obstacles, also the negative impact concerning the Barcelona Process overall as worsening the situation in both Palestine as well as in Iraq, also the repercussions of the respective imagery after September 11th and the potential effects of the widening of the Mediterranean economy. As such, the Commission has, since 2000, put the following into effect, in order to rectify the mistakes, and against the critiques:
See also the Barcelona declaration

You can also google for "Eurabia"

It explains why nobody has stopped the insane immigration of Muslims into Europe. It is part of the plan. It will insure that the dwindling European citizenship do not attempt to stop the plan, if they know what's good for them

I love it when socialists are disappointed. Socialism is the panacea of the envious and the lazy. Period.

Bill Clinton expressed his support for Sego, so the result cannot be welcomed by Hillary and him. I am sure Hillary would have liked a woman President of France to go with Angela Merkle’s Chancellorship. Sego tried to pull the gender card, it didn’t work.

Doesn’t this pic (in #264) remind you of the infamous one from after the ‘04 election? I can’t find it, but it’s the one with the woman standing and crying while holding a sign, with a guy who looks like he’s in an orange jumpsuit sitting behind her. :)

You’re right - her defeat is a definite SLAP in the face of fellow socialists, HR and B Clinton (and their lapdog hordes).

Well, I for one am glad to see you are still here, Atlantic Friend. I hope Sarkozy's election is a good thing for France and the French people.

P.S. I guess we don't have to ask how you voted, huh?SmileyCentral.com

Oh yeah, time to start rebuilding and drinking the good Pomerol, Margeaux and Burgundy!

Not to mention poping the corks on some tasty bubbly!

Go Szark!

You think you only needs friends next door I guess. The US needs and wants allies that count, stand up and matter.

Look to Afghanistan as one mere example.

Try to keep up.

It’s times like this that I love to watch CNN . They just can’t hide their disappointment . When CNN is having a bad day, it usually means a Conservative somewhere, won something :)
