I was there in October. They don't hate us. As one other poster said, if you treat them with respect they treat us with respect.

I found the French to be more pro American than the British, oddly. We only hear from the whacky French left, not the right as they are too busy like most of us to complain about the evil Americans.

The huge turnout in this election and the LARGE victory for Sarkozy shows that the French are more like us then we have been led to believe by the media. They have a lot of history with the Muslims that we don't have. They know they wouldn't survive long with Royale and her type in charge.
