I was kidding, sorry. It’s just that Ithaca, New York struck me as being a little podunk to be candidate for Whore of Babylon. No disrespect to you intended. It’s just that I have a sarcastic side to my nature—congenital, I believe, given my family’s somewhat quirky sense of humor.

It’s a college town (Cornell) and thus uber-liberal.

Jerusalem was sacked about 70 AD and the temple destroyed and ~60 years later the city was leveled by the Romans and all Jews were forcibly evicted from the city and environs (most were sold as slaves, saturating the market). The Romans some years later tried to build a new city on the same location but their name didn’t stick.

I agree. Someone posted this on FR (I think) a while back and I keep it around. I’ve read a bunch of other good stuff from that site, too. Glad you enjoyed.

Wrong. It says, "If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, they shall become your brother in the Faith. Thus do We make it plain Our revelations to men of knowledge."

I'm not dissing their ardent support of our Military [they earn respect for that].
What they seem to allow so frivolously is the immorality [and what nation lacks any form of immorality].
The big fact that the Kingdom willingly invited Michael Jackson refuge after his trial speaks volumes to me of what they allow & what they pursue.
