Where is Sam Brownback on this issue????? He was a sponsor of the bad 2006 bill, so its not like he doesn’t pay attention to this issue.
He’s running for President and all the front-runners have made their views known.

And perhaps that’s why Brownback is ceding Kansas to Romney as we type, at least in early polling.
In my estimation, if we can stall this vote until the people start really paying attention in 2008, we can swing the momentum against this bill and towards politicians who oppose amnesty.
That really is our best hope. We need a strong Republican president who opposes amnesty. We need a voice of leadership on this issue who is willing to turn the wrath of the American people upon those who betray us in Congress.
If we had that voice, this bill would be defeated and that fence would be going up.
