I know it won't happen, but if he wants to turn it around and save the GOP and save the nation from the disasters that are about to befall upon us President Bush should:
1) Immediately and forcefully condemn the amnesty bill and vow to veto it.
2) Immediately secure the borders and start enforcing the law. No new legislation is required.
3) Get busy on the war and do whatever it takes to win it, get public opinion on his side, and get that monkey off his back.
4) Condemn McCain-Feingold as an unconstitutional assault on free speech and free elections and call for its immediate repeal.
5) Immediately reissue his call for a defense of marriage amendment and forcefully restate his his positions and his support for pro-life, pro-family, pro-liberty issues and proactively lead the nation in that direction and away from abortion, the gay agenda, gun control, illegal aliens, etc.
6) Immediately begin an effective public relations campaign to lead our country out of the liberal/socialist morass it's falling into.
7) Immediately take charge and start kicking lib/RINO butt! Get in line or get out!
8) President Bush should immediately condemn any and all Republican candidates/officeholders who promote abortion, gay agenda, gun control, illegal aliens, big government, big spending, etc.
9) And, of course, he has to lead by example and that means he'd have to start calling for a reversal of some of his own big government/big spending liberal policies and legislation that he pushed through.
In other words, the GOP had better get its act together and begin acting like they have a pair and had better start running/governing as conservatives or the party will suffer the wrath of the voters. And that's a fact.
