I have never confused concrete for rock. Neither has anyone else..
The egyptians used a primitive type of cement, not concrete.
The Romans invented concrete, not the egyptians, and they did it well after the pyramids were built.

My understanding is that cement is an ingredient of concrete and is what binds together the other ingredients into the final product known as concrete.
