They’ll withdraw immunity since she didn’t blame Rove.

What a bunch of boneheads.

The guy who appointed them belongs in that category, too.

Are you sure? You're whispering sweet-nothings, and she whispers back, "You have the right to remain silent . . ."

Well, you know, that’s correct.

Mr. G. as AG must be one of the worst in recent history.

Geez, all he had to say was “US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the president,” instead of turning this into “Zippy the Pinhead” goes to Washington.

Does the democratic-run Congress remember that Clinton fired hundreds of sitting judges, lawyers, etc. when he came into power? That was okay for them, but no Republican better do that!

When this is brought up, their response is always "Yes, but they were not removed for political reasons." The MSM's response to this is always silence.

This is what you call the Ollie North moment. McNulty was Schumer’s stooge in Justice.

Goodling is also at the center of an internal Justice Department inquiry into whether she considered whether prosecutors were Republicans before hiring them for career jobs, a violation of federal law.

I would like to see a list of all the Republicans that ex42 selected. He was at least politically savvy enough to say that those he nominated were in line with his judicial philosophy and not because they were loyal Dems. Why can't Republicans have the common sense to say the right thing or keep quiet?

I am not sure if you are aware that McNulty, the former asst. AG was a clsoe ally of Schumer. McNultu was and is close with Comey who appointed Fitzgerald. Schumer was hoping to have McNulty appointed to replace Gonzales, so he could squash ongoing investigations against democrats.

"McNulty was Schumer’s stooge in Justice"

True, and it is always appalling to see scumbags like Schumer exercise so much control over the doings of the US Dept. of Justice..... almost as bad as when the Clintonistas were in charge!

P.s. What do you call a stooge of a stooge?

Is there a word for the 'Rat stooge's stooge?

From the end of the article:
Goodling is also at the center of an internal Justice Department inquiry into whether she considered whether prosecutors were Republicans before hiring them for career jobs, a violation of federal law.
And now it makes sense.... This is why she pled the Fifth Amendment, and this is why the Justice Department can't get their story straight. The problem is not that Bush fired people that serve at his pleasure. If the White House had said "They serve at our pleasure, we fired them for political reasons, so what?," this wouldn't have lasted a week. But, now it seems that this may have been the modus operendi at the Justice Dept., not only for political patronage appointments, but also for civil service jobs (which is very much illegal)- and someone didn't want that to get out.

I wonder if this politicization of civil service appointments extends higher than Ms. Goodling. I certainly can't have a hard time believing that a girl from a 4th-tier law school with no more than 6 mos. local prosecutorial experience unilaterally went political.

McNulty wanted Gonzales’ job and felt playing two ends against the middle was the best way to get it.

It’s way past time to rip aside McNulty’s cover as a Dim operative in the DoJ. He was a liberal mole, gunning for his boss’ job.
