Her staff trashed the dressing room. I doubt it was “her choice” to leave. She was outed as a Islamonazi propagandist on the order of Axis Sally from WWII on national television and her staff took it hard.
Why it took “this” level of outrage to drop her is beyond me.
Kind of reminds me of what the Clintons did to the white house when they left...
It’s what the libs will try do to our country when we’ll ultimately have to face them down!
Way to go Elisabeth!
O’Donnell is really Walters’ ID (like the thing in Forbidden Planet),
Did they pry the “Ws” off the computer keyboards?
It cannot be said any better than that.
Ratings trump (so to speak) outrage in TV-land.
“why it took this “level of outrage” to drop her is beyond
me”
——I haven’t really followed this that closely but the Rosie/Trump, and Rosie/everyone else and Elizabeth thing was hard to miss, even if you tried. THere is a point where even pumped-up ratings get “trumped” by diminishing returns, where “controversy” and free speech start looking like spoon-fed idiocy which is all that was on display when the policy was obviously just to let Rosie go on and on and set the agenda. Barbara Walters, and the Network and the producers of the show obviously realized they’d reached that point this week, and an ejector seat was called for for Rosie, two weeks early. So it was not really a “level of outrage” that was finally reached and brought about the departure, it was an assessment and prediction of falling ratings which paradoxically rose quickly and burst through the level of outrage that was already there, waiting to be activated.
Interestingly the only commentator with nerve enough to even suggest a “fat Lesbian/cute blonde” dynamic to this was Mark Steyn on Hannity.
