Her mass appeal has me stumped and bewildered.

What demographic finds her shtick entertaining, her voice melodious, her appearance pleasing and her continuous attacks on the United States informative?

I can only conclude there are a whole lot of easily entertained, hearing impaired, ugly, overweight, lesbian loving, America hating, conspiracy nuts who are wealthy enough to stay home and watch daytime tv everyday.

Of course this is only my humble opinion, I could be wrong!

I think that people want to like her. When she had her own talk show, she was actually quite pleasant at first. She was funny and generous and had good guests. Then the Colombine school massacre happened, and she started to get a little trippy. When she confronted Tom Selleck about his NRA support, she started to show her "true" colors, yet ended up apologizing and all "seemed" well--at least to the regular Rosie viewer.

I believe it was after she came "out" that she started to morph into this unpleasant creature. She made negative comments about Guilliani and Bush often, but not laced with the hysteria she does now, though after 9-11, she admitted that she was comforted by President Bush and even cried when he threw the first pitch at the Yankees first game after 9-11. Her show ended not long after her "coming out", and she kind of laid low for a while. She burst back into the headlines and started to get into nuclear derangement territory when President Bush announced his support for the Marriage Amendment.

So I guess, in a nutshell, with Rosie, the bottom line is...it's all about sex.

Ewwww.

Everybody likes to watch a train wreck in progress. It's called rubbernecking.
