Yeah, get rid of the FairTax BS. Why start another bureaucratic boondoggle piece of crap that will be so complicated from collection to check writing etc, etc, that it makes more sense to just look at current hidden taxes levied and see if increasing them makes more sense. If it would work, then these taxes would be passed down to every consumer.

Lets look at it this way. If the income tax is repealed, where are the corporate taxes? Gone. And if the income tax is repealed, then those that pay income tax would have this burden removed along with the IRS. It would be better to work with what is in place to estimate if all taxes the Federal Government levies could offset the income tax. Maybe this would be too simple.

Snicker... you're describing the nrst... simple and all.

One major exception. The nrst makes these taxes visible, printed on every receipt.

Seems someone's been feeding you something unpleasant.

If you're willing to engage me on the topic, I'm sure we could both learn something. Specifically,
what indicates to you that the Fair Tax nrst is a "bureaucratic boondoggle"?
what indicates to you that the Fair Tax nrst will be "so complicated from collection to check writing"?
what is it giving you the overall impression that the fair tax nrst is "BS"?

In light of your comments describing a (your) proposed way to collect taxes that would be ideal and "maybe too simple" that is precisely the model of the nrst, it would appear that someone has told you things about the nrst that make you think that your proposed way to collect taxes is substantially different than the nrst... but your proposal is in fact nearly identical to the nrst.

Can you explain? Thanks.

Any facts or research or logic of any kind - or anything at all to buttress your emotional positions? Still waiting.
