What annoys me is seemingly adult people acting like grade school bullies behind their keyboards.
I prefer we not calling anyone fat, ugly, etc. This includes people who I disagree with including Helen and Rosie.
Ridicule, in all its forms, is “political speech”. While it may not be palatable to all, it is graphic representation that even the most addled can comprehend. Conservatives are routinely referred to as NAZI’s, Rightwing fanatics, theocrats, etc. For the ultra fringe of any political persuasion, that may have some validity. We like to refer to Edwards as a “Breck Girl” because he’s a narcissistic little (insert synonym for female dog). We refer to Helen Thomas as a most unpleasant looking hag since her politics are reflected in her appearance. The rotund judge is simply a visually manifested image of the ugliness of some who administer justice.Politics is a dirty business. There are going to be foul and reprehensible things said. Making nice may be a courteous thing to do, but it isn't required. Nor is it effective. Just as the pacifists would prefer we love the enemy as we love ourselves, sing Kumbaya around a campfire and try to "under-sta-a-a-a-nd" our adversaries, that tact will ultimately get them killed. The "enemy" knows weakness when it smells it.
The rotund judge knows she's a pig--by her actions and her deeds, as well as her carelessness with her own self image. That others call her on it isn't meanness; it's perceptiveness.
