RNC Fires Phone Solicitors [former donors outraged over amnesty]

There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

I’m with you. I can’t trust his judgement on the Middle East anymore. A president of the USA that wants to do this much damage to his own country has a screw loose. Nancy Pelosi, unfortunately, was right. I don’t trust him.

For once in my life....I was well ahead of the curve. I started passing along my dissatisfaction to the RNC/GOP fundraisers about 2 years ago.

That is exactly what we do, donate to candidates not to the RNC. I have not been blunt enough with the RNC about the illegals problem but next time they call (which should be in the next 15 minutes, I will be).

They’ve painted themselves into a corner now, would imagine their biggest donors are the slavemasters who hire the illegals. If they try to please the multitude of smaller donors and do something about the illegals they’ll lose their big donors.

On the other hand, I may have closed my checkbook when it became evident that Commander-in-Chief George W. Bush was happy to put the scumbag ACLU lawyers of JAG in charge of the war in Iraq. Way to be, Bush. How many Marines will die because they hesitated to pull their triggers just long enough to review their “battlefield ethics” and their thirteen “rules of engagement” out of fear of ending up in prison

Prosecuting the soldiers has been a hideous part of this war. Bush needs to resign. I think he’s nuts.

Posters here think the RNC may be getting the message. They aren’t. They fired the phone solicitors. They think it’s a problem with the solicitors.

Or.... they're firing the solicitors because they're not getting a return on the investment. Why pay all those people money just to take angry calls from people who are not going to send them money?

They would prefer not to listen to us, as evidenced by the their actions in DeeCee.
