There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

“I presume we’re not going to build a fence on places where people don’t want it.”

And which PEOPLE is W referring to? His best friends forever, all illegal aliens? Certainly "people" doesn't mean the American people.

You left out Alberto Gonzales. There’s definitely affirmative action in this administration.

And forget about the precinct walks, the waves on the causeways, the little campaign parties, the sign making, envelope stuffing. No more time in the hot sun for me. They'll have to hire people to hold their signs (if they can afford signs).

When there is no return on my investment, it's work I won't do.

There’s a thread about the MEXICAN HOT LINE STRAIGHT TO CONGRESS. Calls can be placed from Canada and Mexico. They have no way to tell where the calls are coming from. The Senators should ask the ZIP CODES but most are not. I’m waiting for their next press conference. Will they LIE about all the calls? They’ve been made aware of the MEXICAN HOT LINE. toll free, no less.

No problem - - there'll be plenty of illegal aliens to "do the work floriduh voter and Lancey Howard won't do".

You can go indy, but do ck your state to see how long before you can join again so you can still vote in the primary. We may get someone suitable yet.

I took a beating but I stuck to the issues. I wasn’t easy on Jeb either. I’m just glad my screen name doesn’t have GOP/RNC/Jeb or W in it.

Chertoff to immigration bill's critics: Get real

"Stop insisting on deportations that are not going to happen. We are bowing to reality."

Hey, we have 2 whole miles of that 800 mile border fence finished.......

Too true! Suppose some Third Party presidential candidate actually won an election. Do you think we’d ever know about it?

I think the only way out of this mess is to vote anti-incumbent for a few election cycles. Just re-cycle the trash until they get the idea that they’re there to serve us, not the lobbyists. Of course, that would mean everybody would have to bite the bullet and vote for the other party at least half the time, and I don’t think we’re smart enough to do that.

I told them something similar myself.
I have, however, donated directly to candidates that do not support this effort.

I said something similar when a GOP fund raiser called last week.

But don’t worry, Bush will soon call us all a bunch of ignorant bigots again.

Oh, you don’t like Mr. Cause?

Shoot the messenger then.

There. Isn’t THAT better?

I know what’s bugging them... They’re supposed to have that faux Republican Convention in Minneapolis. That’s gonna cost some big bucks. They can’t have a convention at a Motel 6 but may have to.

If this keeps up, there won't be much of a party of have a convention with!

All the mail from RNC has been going in the trash here for over two years.

Don't waist those prepaid envelopes.

I always use them to send back my simple message "Secure our Border!"
