But then I've grown up with folks wearing a gun on their hip. The only reason they wouldn't is because they like a shoulder holster. Either way, it isn't rude...

They are not allowed to conceal them, by Idaho law.
Neither is old enough to qualify for a concealed carry permit and there isn’t anything rude about open carry.
