A large comet or asteroid impact in a glacier ice sheet produced the Biblical Great Flood which brought the last Ice Age to an abrupt and sudden end.

Are you serious about this, or was it a tongue-in-cheek post?

It would have been one sudden flood and a gigantic rise in sea level...real quick and maybe to fast to outrun on foot? That flood would have survived in the collective memory of humans...probably worldwide.
