And your point? If the government says it’s not a declared war then why do you think it is?

No. He was trying to help Britain all he could w/o sending our men. Churchill was practically begging him.

He was campaigning for re-election, promising he'd keep American boys out of the war, no matter what. At the same time, he was plotting how to get us into the war and sending his #2 man, Harry Hopkins, on extended missions to plot how we would enter the war. And he was using C-in-C power to hunt the German subs who were a real threat to shipping (and American profits, ask the Bush's and the Kennedy's). And Churchill wasn't practically begging, he was groveling and hysterical.

“The GOP is scared of him and the establishment media doesn’t know what to do with him.”

It’s like the Neil Cavuto interview w/ Ron Paul a few hours before the South Carolina debate. He started off by saying he had never seen more people request a candidate be interviewed, ever, than Dr. Ron Paul. Then he proceeds to do a bush-league, setup interview with Ron Paul. Cavuto was constantly trying to interrupt Paul and ambush him. Cavuto looked like a real a-hole and Ron Paul handled himself well. Support is growing amongst the grassroots. The shrill cries of the naysayers are becoming more desperate.

In Reagan’s little-noticed 1968 run for President, Reagan recieved two delegate votes. One of his delegates to the Convention was Ron Paul. ‘Nuff said.

1976. And Reagan had more delegates than that. Ron Paul was leading the Texas GOP delegation.

Is Alberto the government? I thought he was head of the justice dept answering to the CIC, who calls it a war all the time.

Of course he was preparing for war. It was looking more and more inevitable. There was no way the GOP or the dems would stand by to see Britain fall.

I’d be with you Pre-Saddam’s capture on that war thing, even though we didn’t declare it but it’s not a war now.

The shrill cries of the naysayers are becoming more desperate.

You can tell too when the Paul bashers resort to name-calling, posting silly graphics, and painting him as a Libertarian.

I'm glad Paul is in the race to explain to boneheaded people that big-government policies are the cause to almost all of the problems we're facing now. If a liberal, cross-dressing Mayor can run as a Republican, so can a staunch Constitutionalist in Paul.

Ron Paul has been on a lot of shows. So far, it looks to me like Fox News Channel almost refuses to have him on their main news shows, no matter how much interest there is. But they've got ol' Freddy "Open Borders" Barnes there. And Bill "Kick Me" Kristol. Yeah, they're good Republicans by FNC standards. But not Ron Paul. The kindly elderly baby doctor and small-government conservative, that guy has got to be sneered at and kicked the curb with all possible brutality. He's a threat.

These questions have bedeviled me for a long time.

I am unable to resolve these sorts of questions, and have never been able to take the leap to full blown Libertarianism. The practical aspects of survival often dictate compromises and workarounds that initially seem to defy logic and, what is far worse for some folk, frequently fly in the face of what worked well in a less complicated time.

The denial of the necessity at times for military conscription stands out, for me, as a particularly dangerous attitude. Quite frankly, I tend to view Libertarians as Utopians with whom I can often find common ground. However, given the fact that there are far too few rational beings on this planet, I can't see Libertarian leadership as a viable political option.

Thanks for an excellent post...

From http://www.house.gov/paul/tst/tst2002/tst030402.htm

Remember, Iraq has not initiated aggression against us. We, on the other hand, have bombed them, taunted them by flying military jets in their airspace, and starved them with economic sanctions- all for more than a decade. We haven't done these things out of humanitarian concern for Kuwait, we've done them because we want to protect our oil interests.

You and I would disagree on what Mr. Paul...implies. I agree with him on plenty of other issues, but he sounds exactly like the Kucinich arm of the Democrat Party when it comes to dealing with the terrorist network.

You guys all signed up for the Ron Paul Pinglist? Ask The_Eaglet or OrthodoxPresbyterian to add you.

Maybe we should ask the trolls to join the list so they won't miss a single thread. LOL.

You really need to start reading and listening to what he says instead of what his enemies say he says. The tw aren’t necessarily the same. But as long as you keep getting attention by spouting regurgitated lies and BS you probably won’t want to educate yourself.
Carry on. Your mother would be proud.

Like I said, the Neil Cavuto piece was a hit. What an a-hole that guy is. Check out the YouTube video I linked to a few posts up.

His only problem is that advertising his positions will make many Republicans less likely to vote for him.

Dr. Demento’s “Cause of hatred” = CIA installing the Shah of Iran, 1953.

In any case, Arabs hate Iranians and so couldn't care less about the 1953 CIA intervention. Instead, they care about eliminating Israel and any country that supports its existence.

NH is the one state where RP actually has a chance to win it or take a strong second. NH has a way of surprising the country with its picks. Pat Buchanan won it so it's not unimaginable.
