BELGRADE, Serbia -- No bodies have been found at a site that was suspected to be a mass grave in southern Serbia, a judge said Friday after investigators searched for three days for remains of victims of the 1998-99 Kosovo war.

"We found no human remains," said Milan Dilparic of the Belgrade-based Special Court handling war crimes cases, including atrocities committed during the Kosovo fighting between Serb government troops and Kosovo's ethnic Albanian separatists.

Thousands of ethnic Albanians and hundreds of Serbs perished in the fighting, which ended with NATO military intervention that forced a Serb pullout from the disputed province in 1999.

Some 800 bodies of ethnic Albanians were found after the conflict in two mass graves in central Serbia -- an attempt by former Serbian leader, Slobodan Milosevic, to cover up the crimes.

The latest site investigated was an abandoned quarry in a border zone between Kosovo province, currently a U.N. protectorate, and the rest of Serbia. The investigation was prompted by reports that more than 350 Kosovo Albanians were buried there.

Witnesses had reported having seen four trucks unload bodies in the area of Raska, 100 miles south of Belgrade.

800 is damned near 100,000 so you can’t really fault the media for not questioning the Clinton Administration about the discrepancy. After all, Serbia attacked us first so it’s not like we acted preemptively.

Any chance Mike Nifong might have been working for NATO back in the 90s? I mean, we apparently have a case of a whole nation getting railroaded on this kind of crap.

Interesting. What I'm calling "interesting" is that on the same page as this article is a link to an NCTimes editorial championing passage of the immigration (in FRspeak, "amnesty") bill. It's as if a leftist "talking points" memo has gone out to push the idea that the only alternative to amnesty is the status quo. It's showing up in all the MSM today. This guy even claims it's all due to our politicians' evil pursuit of campaign contributions from the evil corporate empires.

Normally, I'm uncomfortable when I see FReepers bring the amnesty question into threads introduced to discuss another topic, but I can't help but draw a parallel here.

Kosovo was invaded (not militarily, but by illegal immigration) by "ethnic Albanians." These ethnic Albanians adopted the typical Baltic Muslims-slaughter-Christians tactic to appropriate territory. When the native Serbs adopted the typical Baltic Christians-slaughter-Muslims tactic, then we (i.e., Bill Clinton, wearing a NATO mask) jumped into the fray on the side of the invaders.

Here, the invaders (non-military, to be sure) are ethnic proponents of this concept they call Aztlan, adopting the typical American approach of using rule-of-law to appropriate their "rights." The natives want to adopt the typical American rule-of-law approach, enforcement.

Of course, it isn't likely to draw a NATO-type military intervention, but will rule-of-law result in the same outcome as Baltic militarism? Will the DemoClinton Party, with the cooperation of the opposing party (who fear that compromise is the only solution under rule-of-law) send us down a similar path?

Yes.  It certainly couldn't have been an attempt to bury a bunch of dead people.  It mush have been a cover-up.

Damn those Baltic Muslims.

I wish everybody was as clear thinking and educated on the matter as you.

This is the way it will become here if we attempt to remove all the ethnic Mexicans at one fell swoop, only we will be on the receiving end of world opinion.

Oh, my. I can’t help but feel flattered. At the same time, if I left it at that, I would feel like a fraud. I’m not really any more educated than the next guy — less so than many who post on FR. I guess the same might apply to “clear-thinking.” My tag line says what I’m really about. But I thank you for the compliment.

In contrast to the 300,000 bodies we found in mass graves in Iraq from the genocide by Saddam. But we're just there in Iraq as "terrorists killing innocent civilians". Man, I just love the MSM and it's accurate reporting of facts.

The MSM was obviously manipulated by the Kosovars.

Just as obviously, they have been manipulated by the jihadists in Iraq...and elsewhere.

Try as I might, I can conceive of only two reasons that would explain this kind of unprofessional behavior.

1. Are they just so stupid as to allow this kind of rank manipulation?

2. Or are they willing collaborators in the manipulation?

In the first case, one wonders how they keep their jobs. The second case, though, might explain just how they do it.

Don’t think for a second that the immigration bill that just “died” on the Senate floor is going away.

Give it a couple of weeks, and the fight will be on once again...mark my word.

The alleged 800 are probably recycled KLA dug up by the UN. They've never given the names or autopsy reports of these claimed bodies. There's no photos of any being dug up on the grounds, and Tom Gambill says often a "body" being "returned" is a few bones.

They suddenly materialized after Milosevic's fall, and in the news the day before he was to be transported to the Hague. It was all announced for public manipulation. It would be easy to frame the government by the current puppet government agreeing to take some bones and declare they were found in Serbia.

Meanwhile thousands have been killed or kidnapped under NATO supervision during "peacetime" Kosovo, and minorities don't have the most basic rights such as freedom of movement. Witnesses to KLA crimes are regularly assassinated, so much so, that a former KLA, just a few days ago, has refused to testify, knowing he'd be killed like so many others.

In some reports, they were quoting a “Serbian official” who said he had equipment showing that 500 bodies were buried right there. Seems such a person, if he/they exist, should be fired for lies, incompetence or using hocus pocus equipment.

Serbian media are reporting that accusation of existance of mass-grave was given by Albanian Kosovo emmigrant in US. He wanted to trade “Massgrave” information for US cityzenship.

And you're probably going to continue lying to try and whitewash Milosevic's crimes 'till the day you die.

Still, given the preponderance of evidence on the matter at this time, I don't suppose you have any alternatives to lying like a rug, do you?

I read elsewhere that it was some "witness" at the Hague where it was original reported. Was the witness this Albanian you are talking about.

Still, it was a Serbian official or someone who claimed some sort of technological equipment "showed" 500 bodies there. Then later it was changed to 350.

Most of the headlines said a mass grave was there, but within the report it would change to "suspected mass grave". But considering that many just retain the impression of the headlines and then don't have the attention span or information to follow the results, they are left with the impression of a new grave of 500 people found.

Usually, reports wait until there is concrete evidence - until some bodies are actually found before screaming such headlines. But in the Balkans they will use almost anyone's claim to scream headlines of a mass grave when it is only someone's imagination.
