Paris banged up ... again (Prisoner Riot Feared over Hilton Special Treatment)
The Sun ^ | 6-9-07 | EMILY SMITH

Posted on 06/09/2007 9:34:01 AM PDT by Anti-Bubba182

PETRIFIED PARIS HILTON mouthed “I love you” to her parents last night — before being carted off to face a hostile reception in prison.....[snip]

[snip]Prisoner number 9818783 was put back in her special cell — isolated from other inmates — amid fears the angry lags could RIOT over her special treatment.

Wardens even ordered a lockdown as prisoners — who think Paris pretended to be sick to con doctors — threatened a revolt.

An insider at the prison in Lynwood, California, said: “The women inside the jail are seething. They say if you’re a rich white girl you get special treatment.

“They are furious that while Paris had her own special cell with a panic button, was given better food and was kept away from the general population, she was still released early.

“There are girls in here with cancer, TB, and with MRSA. They aren’t allowed to go home and are treated by prison medical staff.

“The prisoners think if you’re rich and pretend you’re sick you can get away with murder.

“Many of the girls have been locked down in their cells all day because they are so furious. The jail is full of screams about Paris.

“Prison bosses fear this could simmer over into violence.”

Ex-inmate Lisa Caprie said she suffered a nervous breakdown inside but was kept there.

She said: “We heard Paris was treated like the Queen of England. It’s not fair. My husband fought to get me out when I had a breakdown but they didn’t listen.”

And Elana Lamb, set free with an ankle tag, said Paris made a nuisance of herself by repeatedly pressing a medical alert button.

Lamb, 38, said: “She was just whining, complaining she was cold and hungry.”............."

I have thought that she is a narcissist and wonder if her psychiatrist is even aware (or cares). If so, I don’t believe she would ever truly be at risk of suicide. My ex fits a lot of the traits, too, and no way he would ever off himself- he’s his biggest fan.

"You are totally wrong about what Paris did.'

Well, as I understand it, the list is shown below. You can correct me wherever you think appropriate, but I'm quite sure I'd be in the lock up for more than 40 days if I'd done the following:

1. Busted for DUI, license suspended and no jail or restriction time but with requirement to behave for a brief period of time.,
2. Busted driving without a license during probation period, no penalties except maybe extending the probation.
3. Busted again, same offense, wrecked very expensive car and endangered citizenry in the process.
4. Third time is the charm, sentenced to 40 days in jail, reduced to 23, and given private cell apart from other inmates.
(Incidentally, judge orders no home release etc. unless he OK'd it first)
5. Conned the Sheriff into going against court ruling (invoking sheriff's authority over the court)and is released via press conference and on grounds that the sheriff knows are invalid.
(in jail she can be made to see a doctor, at home she'll have her own self guided treatment).
6. Sheriff fails to properly consult with judge, then pretends otherwise, then postures about his presumed authority to alter rulings and policy.
7. Ms. HIlton goes home still complaining about unfairness of it all.

SUMMARY:
Broke the law and endangered lives.
Ignored conditions of release and broke the law again - twice.
Shows no indication that she'd do any better if ordered to do nice things for the community as penance.
When actually given punishment, levers her name and ability to own lawyers to cause a county official to obstruct and cast doubt on the legal system we are all supposed to be governed by.
Continues to bitch and moan about unfairness even before the original (3d time charm) sentence is reinstated.

Now we have Geraldo and half the media claiming that 40 days is excessive when a murderer in another state got less than a year - when the issue should be why and how did a murderer get off so lightly, not why a heiress got tossed back into jail for her original sentencing!

Yeah, I think she deserves it because I hate rich people, right, sure...

“Rich Girl”
Hall and Oates

You’re a rich girl, and you’ve gone too far
‘Cause you know it don’t matter anyway
You can rely on the old man’s money
You can rely on the old man’s money
It’s a bitch girl but it’s gone too far
‘Cause you know it don’t matter anyway
Say money but it won’t get you too far,
Get you too far

And don’t you know, don’t you know
That it’s wrong to take what is given you
So far gone, on your own
You can get along if you try to be strong
But you’ll never be strong
‘Cause

You’re a rich girl, and you’ve gone too far
‘Cause you know it don’t matter anyway
You can rely on the old man’s money
You can rely on the old man’s money
It’s a bitch girl and it’s gone too far
‘Cause you know it don’t matter anyway
Say money but it won’t get you too far,
Get you too far
High and dry, out of the rain
It’s so easy to hurt others when you can’t feel pain
And don’t you know that a love can’t grow
‘Cause there’s too much to give, ‘cause you’d rather live
For the thrill of it all, oh

You’re a rich girl, and you’ve gone too far
‘Cause you know it don’t matter anyway
You can rely on the old man’s money
You can rely on the old man’s money
It’s a bitch girl and it’s gone too far
‘Cause you know it don’t matter anyway
Say money but it won’t get you too far,
Say money but it won’t get you too far,
Say money but it won’t get you too far,
Get you too far

And you say
You can rely on the old man’s money
You can rely on the old man’s money
You’re a rich girl, a rich girl
Oh, you’re a rich rich girl yeah
Say money but it won’t get you too far,
Oh, get ya too far

This is about what Rush Limbaugh calls “Get even withemism”

You have made some good points, but the facts are that the only reason she is doing time, and not a big fine, or massive community service is that LA's laws have certain requirements for repeat offences (or more specific, her DWI's and driving with a suspended licience repeatedly).

If she was anyone else, she would not be doing 7 days and time off. Personally I think the state would have beneffited if she was given a large fine (lets call a spade a spade here, its not like her being in jail makes the world safer or something).

Never the less, my personal gripe is with the sheriff because I think he wanted her to go home because he simply didn't want to deal with 1) a Media circus, 2) The risk of her killing herself, 3)The possibility of a prision riot.

The fact that he gets a paycheck from taxpayers for doing his job, means he does not get a break when some kind of difficulty comes up, when you get that paycheck, you do not have the right to make exceptions because the job gets a little hard sometimes. He didn't feel like dealing with a headache, but he had no problem cashing his paycheck, so be broke the rules, and that is more wrong then anything Hilton did or ever will do.

“The prisoners think if you’re rich and pretend you’re sick you can get away with murder."

Driving with a suspended license is certainly not comparable to murder. And honestly, I don't support filling our jails with nonviolent offenders.

Guess what? I hear that RINO forum (that shall remain unnamed) has already degenerated into catfights. With Howlin as an administrator (this is true!!), what else did anybody expect?

Not a very big tent there, I see. And yet, they want the same nonsense for the GOP as a whole.

Waiting behind people who are buying for the next life as well as this one is not helping anyone.

I’ve noticed that narcissism goes hand in hand with bi-polar disorder.

You’ll go nuts dealing with someone with that combination :(

Tell that to the people in her neighborhood who might on the road at the same time she comes barreling home drunk or high.

I have thought that she is a narcissist and wonder if her psychiatrist is even aware (or cares).

Obviously, the psychiatrist doesn't care - or there would have been an intervention by now for this poor girl. The psychiatrist, lawyer, etc are part of a long chain of people that get money because of Paris. I feel sorry for her, because anyone that sees her just sees dollar signs & she knows it.

I hope she can stay in jail long enough to calm down, sober up & take a good, hard look at her life. I pray that God will speak to her when she is quiet enough to listen and show her that she has a tremendous opportunity to turn her life around & use it as a force for good. She could be such a positive role model for younger people & with her money, she could do a whole lot of good things.

I know it's a reach, but I do believe in miracles & the power of prayer.

This is the only statement in this story that I believe. The rest of it reads like one of tabloid thingies.

I feel bad for her to be honest with you. This situation is just plain stupid. The cop let her out. Why did she get additional time? I can see her having to do the rest of the 23 days or whatever the total was when she went in for real. If I was her parents, I would give her some insentive like a world cruise when she gets out. That would give her something to look forward to and keep her mind off killing herself which I am sure crosses her mind from time to time. This is retarded. She does need to grow up. She is 26 years old, but right now she just has to survive this ordeal. Blast away!!!
