[snip]Prisoner number 9818783 was put back in her special cell — isolated from other inmates — amid fears the angry lags could RIOT over her special treatment.
Wardens even ordered a lockdown as prisoners — who think Paris pretended to be sick to con doctors — threatened a revolt.
An insider at the prison in Lynwood, California, said: “The women inside the jail are seething. They say if you’re a rich white girl you get special treatment.
“They are furious that while Paris had her own special cell with a panic button, was given better food and was kept away from the general population, she was still released early.
“There are girls in here with cancer, TB, and with MRSA. They aren’t allowed to go home and are treated by prison medical staff.
“The prisoners think if you’re rich and pretend you’re sick you can get away with murder.
“Many of the girls have been locked down in their cells all day because they are so furious. The jail is full of screams about Paris.
“Prison bosses fear this could simmer over into violence.”
Ex-inmate Lisa Caprie said she suffered a nervous breakdown inside but was kept there.
She said: “We heard Paris was treated like the Queen of England. It’s not fair. My husband fought to get me out when I had a breakdown but they didn’t listen.”
And Elana Lamb, set free with an ankle tag, said Paris made a nuisance of herself by repeatedly pressing a medical alert button.
Lamb, 38, said: “She was just whining, complaining she was cold and hungry.”............."

It is in there. Famous and notorious convicts are accommodated with extra security for the safety of the prison staff. CDC officers are class II law enforcement officers.

She’s so rich and been so coddled all her life that she has no inner strength to enable her to go through these kinds of things. I really feel sorry for her. She has nothing going for her but money.

Paris Hilton's parents actions remind me of the way arrogant politicians that we have in Washington D.C., think about their commoner constituents.

I agree that special provisions may be made.
She had the chance to plea bargain and she did...down to parole and license suspension, she agreed to the terms. Twice breaking parole is enough to remove any further special provisions. Yes, the staff must be protected, but how is she a threat to them...maybe to herself?
I have 3 daughters and can not imagine letting anything get to this point without family intervention long before this.

Prisoners have committed suicide before and they have still been kept in jail. All the sheriff has to do is take reasonable precautions. More likely, some money changed hands.
If the Sheriff is a Democrat then there might also have been some political pressure since Paris is a Democrat.

If something were to happen to Paris Hilton in the jail, the lawsuit against the state would be enormous.
I am certain the governator has his fingers in this. The state corrections code does have specific guidelines for the incarceration of famous and notorious convicts.
This whole ordeal has sent the BS meter into overdrive. Now that she’s in a mental facility, perhaps she will get some “help”. Drugs? A psychiatrist? I thought the reason she flipped out was because she wasn’t taking her regular psychotropic drugs. So many stories....
First, all she has to do is cry RAPE!
Secondly, if prison staff were injured or killed trying to break up a fight with a gang of girls doing a blanket party on Paris, the lawsuits would fly fast and furious.

I hadn’t realized this until it was reported yesterday. Then I saw an interview from the today show, 2006, and she could hardly answer Lauer’s questions, even though he led the conversation right to an appropriate answer. Anyone know why her parents allowed her to quit high school?
