This isn't about getting even. This is about a sick woman who manages to spread her social dysfunction through a willing media to the youth of this country. This is about a spoiled rotten, whoring woman who appears to be able to buy off the justice system. And this is about a media that can't get enough of telling her story.

Isn't it amazing the amount of people wanting to giver her a pass. I thought conservatives expected people to take responsibility for their actions. Where did all these bleeding heart democrats come from?

Actually the sheriff comes closer to being like the Fong than the judge.

A technicality, perhaps, but jail in a nice private cell isn’t exactly prison.

Are you going to argue that for all non-violent criminals or only for celeb coke heads?

It is sad that so many enjoy the mistreatment of poor or rich. She is getting bad and many people that should be above liberal behavior are acting like savage liberals over this.

Liberals are beneath compassion, we are not, at least conservatives should not. They hate her because she is rich. Many would believe any of us to be rich... even if we are not. So, if we were in a similar situation, they would revel in our hardship.

Much of the world hates America because we are considered rich and love any treatment that destroys who we are.

This girl is sick and twisted, so we should hate her? What the hell is wrong with so many of us?

I am not a celebrity watcher, but I have have been praying for her for about 3 years. I don't know why, I just felt moved to.

I wish more people had your attitude. I've been praying for her too.

Great post. I agree completely. If I were the judge, I would determine exactly what I would do to her if she were an average defendant, and do that. I would not increase or decrease her sentence based on her money. We don’t have royalty in this country, and we are not supposed to be corrupt. Treating her with favor would be a form of corruption. This judge has to be able to look at thousands of other defendants, and their victims, and have them know that his sentences are fair and just. If he didn’t treat her like any other person, he would lose that credibility.

FWIW, MN, I think the only reason her being rich has anything to do with it is that a member of the great unwashed wouldn't have had the chutzpah to PO the judge. When was the last time you saw a poor defendant pull those kind of shenanigans in a courtroom?

If the judge threw the book at her, she asked for it.

Tell that to the people in her neighborhood who might on the road at the same time she comes barreling home drunk or high

Considering where she lives, and who her neighbors are (LA wise, not NYC wise, she has multiple residences actually), I doubt they care much since they do much of the same.

Personally, I can’t wait to see what happens when she gets her next DUI.

I hope she just gets a darn full time driver, since I am pretty much sick of hearing about her.

And I actually met her once.

Who knows, being locked away from all her enablers might be the best thing that's ever happened to her.

For example, if I am ever caught in a DUI, I would expect to be treated just like any other schmuck caught in such a situation. I would expect to spend the night in jail, show up in court the next morning with bad hair and a hangover, and pay the piper accordingly. It makes me angry to see a certain class of people who find themselves in these situations (i.e. celebrities, politicians) treated more favorably.

No kidding. Had she enrolled in the alcohol classes and gone to them, like she was supposed to, AND not violated her probation by driving SEVERAL TIMES even getting a SPEEDING TICKET, she wouldn't be sitting in jail right now. It's the probation violation that has her butt in jail. The willfil disregard for the judicial system and the laws, not to mention wrecklessly endangering others, by driving at might without headlights. She'll probably be out in 23 days if she behaves herself this time. But she deserves to be, tight where she is. Behind bars.

All non-violent criminals. Of course, as with anything else, “all” must be broken down on a case by case basis. But all should be reviewed. What we want is for jails to be efficient (since we pay for them) and people who we want off the street to be off the street. I think in Hilton’s case, home detention is the best and most fiscally sound solution for taxpayers. If she jumps detention and goes partying, we taxpayers reap a nice windfall.

From that list you posted, it looks like Johnnie needs to be in timeout, or maybe in his own solitary cell. He’s losing it, for what reason, I don’t know or care.

So you are saying we should just let people who drive DUI or drive without a license get a free pass? For many a small fine is going to be no deterrent to obey the law. There are maximum fines for infractions. The judge could have given ms Prissy 10 times the max and it would not have been any deterrent to her. Daddy would have taken care of it for her.

I really don’t care about how much money Paris has. It’s more about the fact that today people are celebrities not because of anything they do, but just because they are professional celebrities. I don’t even blame Paris, as much as I do the media that encourages it.

Paris is a proxy for everything that is wrong with modern-day American culture. That being said, I don’t know her from Adam. I really don’t wish her ill, I would be happy to hear that she does turn around her life. But at the same time this celebrity-obsessed culture of ours has to change. Paris just makes for a convenient target.

Oxycontin, the stuff Rush abuses. /s

You should see what prescribed drugs for bi-polar disorder does to someone. Holy sh*t. Even worse is when a person discontinues the meds and tries to “self medicate” :(

I’m trying not to go into the TMI territory, but I know a beautiful young woman, whose looks would leave Paris in the dust. She’s bi-polar, to be nice let’s just say she runs around too much with guys, and yo yo’s up and down emotionally. Couldn’t take personal responsibility for her actions, if you tied it up with a pretty ribbon. Paris screaming and crying in court clinched it for me.

We should be saying prayers for her, so she can get her life straightened out. It will take a lot of vigilance though.

I think in Hilton’s case, home detention is the best

She lost her license for reckless driving related to a DUI then proceeded to get caught driving twice while suspended. She also hadn't complied with ANY of her probation stipulations. She was home and continued to break and disregard laws.
