There's NO WAY that this legislation can pass; business interests depend on low-wage employees (the illegals), and their donations to BOTH political parties assure they will be favored over the American peoples' wishes.

It doesn't have to pass to do some good.

Get Tancredo/Hunter to co-sponsor. Then we have another issue for the GOP debates. And to run against the Dims on and to use to challenge the RINOs left in Congress in the spring primaries.

In politics, you have to create a voting record sometimes so you can run against the RINOs/Dims.

It is extremely hard to understand why Bush keeps pushing the Senate amnesty bill or any variation thereof. If there is any political benefit in passing such a bill I do not see it. The next elections in 2008 are going to be disastrous for incumbents if this monstrosity passes, perhaps on both sides of the aisle if polls are any indication of the public mood.

On this, I’ll back Paul 100%. That is a great bill, and I hope Tancredo and Hunter will both jump onboard as co-sponsors.

Exactly. And they should be introducing bills soon, along with RP, to declare all persons who were ever in this country illegally are not eligible for further visas or immigration.

And they need to introduce bills to end chain-migration. Start with excluding all who are not wives or children but not to exceed five total. And those brought in as dependents will have no right to apply for any other relative.

Ron Paul has tried for years. He only needs one co-sponsor to help him put this in the House's docket.

Then we have some ammo for these debates. If Tancredo, Hunter and Paul are all introducing these bills, the libmedia can hardly avoid talking about the differences between Juan McStain and them on immigration, can they?

OK folks, now that we’re in the twilight zone of governmental plans and designs, it’s time to entertain the “out-there” theories on why Bush is insisting on this nation-destroying plan. The other sycophants and fellow travelers are easier to understand. Kennedy and fellow ‘Rats all know the illegals will vote ‘Rat. On the supposed other side of the aisle, McCain would send his grandma thru a woodchipper to become President - through any big momentous measure that totally screws the Republicans - thereby earning the ephemeral gratitude of the media and ‘Rat voters. And running-dog sycophants like Lindsey Graham have their lips stuck solidly to certain parts of McCain’s anatomy, thinking they’ll be close to some sort of payoff in a McCain feifdom. But Bush is a different nutcase to crack.

I’d considered the possibility that he is sentimentally reacting to his Hispanic servants and nurse-maids - with thoughts like “Golly gee whilikers, they were so nice and subservient and hard-working - we need to bring 50 to 120 million of them here just to reward them for a few of them being so nice to me.” I wouldn’t put it past him - but I just don’t think that’s it.

Another possibility is that he’s sitting down with the worst stereotypes of the fat-cat top-hatted capitalists - selling out the American worker so each of them can eke out a few more hundred million, in order to buy a solid gold back-scratcher from Montgomery Burns, and have the entire nation become a bunch of Mr. Smithers’s to wait on them hand and foot. I don’t think that’s it either.

The only rational explanation of his motives is to implement the SPP - the North American Superstate, composed of Canada, the US and Mexico. I think that Bush believes, in all his insular delusionality, that “Hey - we need to compete with Asia, which’s got a lotta cheap labor, resources and now has all the technology and industrial infrastructure to kick our butts. So, we gotta compete. We gotta get the same like...combo. No problemo - we’ll just glop all our contiguous nations together and we’ll like have another Asia righ’chere! Canada for the resources ‘nd stuff, the US for the know-how, and Mexico for all the cheap labor. Presto-amente!”

This is the most believable of the possible motives, so far. But there are some problems with this theory too. Bush, along with his best buddy Clinton, aided and abetted the technology and infrastructure transfer to Asia in the first place, via tax incentives and other measures to shift US manufacturing overseas. Why would he do that, if he was so concerned about competing with Asia? Maybe the answer is even worse. Maybe he’s a globalist to the core - believing that the world has to come together in one big amorphous melting pot - dysfunctional as it may seem in the beginning - but that the first steps have to be taken in the direction of a totally unified humanity.

Don’t get me wrong - I believe the above is completely unworkable elitist crap - but in order to understand and combat our opponent - we must be realistic about what he may honestly believe.

The 'vote any R' hasn't been much of a rip-roaring success. GOP had the House for nearly a decade-and-a-half, the Senate for a half-decade and the WH for the last 6 years. Their performance has been full of pork bills, open check books, new bureaucracies (Homeland Security, for example), assault on the First Amendment with Campaign Finance Reform, medicare prescription drug monstrosity - but no Social Security reform and no permanent tax cuts, etc.

It is evident that many in the GOP learned nothing from the message sent them in 06. As painful as it might be, they are probably going to get a remedial lesson in 08. And that is their fault. But that is the only method the voters have. Buck up. The GOP are making it easy for the Dems to solidify their majority status. But I get the impression the GOP had such a long history (40 years of wondering) as the minority party that they really rather like that position and are actually looking forward to another 40 years as the minority party.

Some kind of Bill will emerge eventually as a funding vehicle for whatever action they can get enough approval for. Even simply rounding up and expelling 20 million would cost $200 billion and that funding would have to be allocated—thus a Bill.
