SOFIA, Bulgaria - President Bush, turning from adulation in the Balkans to difficulties back home, said Monday that his stalled immigration overhaul would be revived and his embattled attorney general would not fall under a Senate vote of no-confidence. ADVERTISEMENT

"I'll see you at the bill signing," Bush said confidently about an immigration bill that has run into deep trouble on Capitol Hill.

No big deal. Nothing to see here. I’m going fishing. Bush has a legacy now. Time to move on.

Can’t wait till he’s gone.

I doubt Hillary!™ will be much better.

But, at least her we'll watch like a starving hawk.

"I'll see you at the bill signing," Bush said ...

He will not see me there! What he will see is a bunch laughing, braying and knee slapping from Kennedy, Graham, Kyle, et alia. And a gaggle of illegal criminals waving the Mexican flag in his face.

Such legislation has already been introduced in the Senate.

Common Sense ‘ENFORCE ACT’ introduced By Sen. Inhofe

Major Provisions in Inhofe’s ENFORCE Act:

· Establishes the National Border Neighborhood Watch (NBNW) Program allowing retired law enforcement officers to assist Border Patrol agents by reporting illegal border crossings.

· Makes unlawful-presence in the United States a felony.

· Establishes an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

· Authorizes funding for online immigration training for state and local law enforcement officers.

· **** Eliminates the practice of granting automatic U.S. citizenship to children born to illegal immigrants in an effort to reduce ‘anchor babies.’******

· Establishes an independent verification system for Social Security numbers; also mandates that immigrant’s Social Security numbers expire when visa runs out.

· Establishes electronic birth & death registries to fight fraudulent Social Security cards

· Helps reduce Individual Taxpayer Identification Number abuse.

· Empowers state & local law enforcement to carryout immigration laws (but does not make it mandatory).

· Establishes penalties for most flagrant employer tax violations—i.e. if an employer willfully files incorrect tax returns, they will be assessed the maximum penalties available.

· Makes it illegal to operate day laborer centers for illegal aliens and to give them unemployment assistance.

· Eliminates in-state tuition benefits for illegal aliens. ###

...but, you have killed the Republican party

I may be wrong, but I don't see it that way. It seems to me that the Republican Party, the quiet majority, rose up as one and made our voices heard very loudly. We unearthed the Rinos in our party and infuenced others. I think we are stronger than we were before all this. We are paying closer attention.

Why are people going to vote for a party that is 90% in agreement on this POS Amnesty bill, when it is the Republican Conservatives and only the Conservatives that are against this bill... and voted against cloture?

What we need to do is nominate Conservative Republicans that are against this Amnesty bill. Anything else will only bring America to her end more quickly.

Mr. President, you may be right, this bit of treason my survive, but, you have killed the Republican party.

That may have been his goal all along.

Globalists are probably starting to realize that the democrats will get them a one world socialist state faster than the GOP.

I think W has gotten into some bad peyote.

I don't know if it's bad peyote, booze, or he's just so sheltered in a D.C. bubble that he's lost all touch with reality.

But, after this "see you at the signing ceremony" remark made abroad, I am counting the days until he's back back in Texas a shunned man and up to his knees in horse manure.

I'm even hoping he's not invited to the 2008 convention for his final "Mr. America" walk. Who wants him there?

The RATS can now make him look weak and incompetent by not passing the bill.

I’m a little confused about the question of anchor-babies.I was listening to talk radio about this issue last week and the impression I got from the converstion was to end this thing would require a Constitutional Amendment !!!

No. Just as with abortion, Congress has very considerable power in legislation. They simply don't normally challenge the Court because they like to have the Court around to do the ugly things the voters won't tolerate.

There's a lot of nonsense about how powerless Congress is. Well, it isn't.

What can you call a man who runs at full speed and rams his head into a wall?

The first thing that came to mind after reading your post was Wyl E. Coyote pursuing the elusive Roadrunner. No matter what new gimmick he musters, nor how fast he runs, the Roadrunner manages to get away, and most of the get-aways are due to Coyote's ineptitude.

Well, the Bush clan is proud to trace their lineage back to the British royal family.

As history records — due to all that inbreeding — many of THEM were locked in the Tower of London.

Take a close look at Prince Chucky. Looks like a candidate for the Tower to me. The boys seem to have turned out OK. Musta been that Spencer blood.

Can’t believe it took 6+ years for some of you folks to wise up.

Oh, Bush is not dumb/stupid/ignorant. Naive/idealistic maybe. He doesn't need a single vote from the people anymore - the executive (none of whom will be running for elected office in the near future) has a very free hand for the next 19 months. He is probably equally comfortable with McCain, Rudy or Hillary assuming the presidency after him. I am sure all of the above will make excellent use of the expanded executive powers so slavishly praised on these very pages when introduced.

Conservatives got schooled. Humped and dumped. So completely that neofraud GOP strategists are still serving up koolaid and pimping garbage. Rove recently said he did not think that anger over immigration within the party would affect support for the president on the war and other national security issues. “People are able to say, ‘I don’t need to agree with anyone 100 percent of the time to be with them on the most important issue facing America,’ ” he said.

The pied piper still plays.

Gee, I’m so hoping his plane doesn’t have simultaneous failure of all engines while over the Atlantic.

I want him out of office. I never thought I’d say it but I don’t care if the Dims impeach him now.
