I agree with you 100%. I lived there for 1 year and left for the same reasons.

We lived there ( Coral Ridge) in the early 90s and the county was slowing becoming hostile but Hurricanes Andrew changed the county demographics over night . Plus,all our nice neighbors were long time retires had died off or sold out after Andrew and the new group were aggressive rich pain in the asses.
