That’s a great question and one that I would like an answer to.

How would the government respond to cities and churches who declare themselves sanctuaries for tax evaders? The same way they’ve responded to those declaring themselves sanctuaries to illegal aliens?

Can you give me some money? I’m having a hard time feeding my kids and paying rent. I actually have to get up 5 and sometimes 6 days a week and go to work for 9 or 10 hours a day and 40% of the money I earn goes to federal, state, and local income taxes. My two Democrat Senators in North Dakota make more sense on Immigration than does the Whitehouse. They want enforcement.

“Doing the jobs Americans won’t do” ignores Econ 101, which would amend that with “at the current price.” In other words, only because of the tremendous supply of illegal labor are wages so low that Americans won’t mow lawns. If the illegals went home, the price of a lawn mowing would go up, and Americans would take the job.

Did Bush fail Econ 101 at Harvard? He seems not to know that an increase in supply (illegal workers) lowers the price (wages).

For your information, Mr. Thompson, I voted for President Bush twice, gave money and support to both his campaigns, worked the telephone to get out the vote, and sill write letters to the editor of our local newspaper in support of the war on teror.

I do not, cannot, and will not support the Prtesident on this shamelful amnesty legislation, and I am sick and tired of his blind support of it. He needs to listen to the people that voted him into office and enforce current immigration law including building the fence.

Please tell the President to get tougher on the government of Mexico, regarding their need for economic reform. It is at the root of much of the illegal immigration issues.

How many miles of the 700 mile fence that the President authorized last year have been built? Was there ever any funding put in place for this fence and if so what happened to it?
How many new border patrol agents have actually been hired in the last 2 years and where exactly is the money for these new hires.
How many businesses hiring illegals have been raided and fined in the last 6 years.
Please tell the President that I worked my b**t off for him during both his campaigns and I regret every minute.
Tell the President that my family and I will no longer support the Republican party in any way if this bill passes.
Why is the President and Senate so hell bent on giving away this great nation.
Since when do we reward illegal activity.
Build the fence, deport illegals, jail employers that hire illegals, then talk to us about immigration reform.
