Unfortunately, his cancer remission WILL be an issue. Just like any chronic illness, the press will play up the disease's 'uncertainty' and that will disuade potential supporters. Why support someone who "knowingly" might die in office?

I like Thompson and think he's probably our best shot to hold the White House, but it's not the cancer that will kill him....it will be the press.
