Sorry for bursting your bubble and pointing out that he is a good, but not great, singer. I even stated that his is an inspiring story. I’ve got nothing against the guy, but he’s no Caruso.

Incidentally, I’m an orchestral musician. I’m not trying to prop myself up when I give an honest critique of his singing. The dude can sing rings around me. I only sing to the inside of my shower and car, and even they don’t seem to like it.

First of all, WWTD, you didn't burst any bubble. I did not gasp in shock when I read your post and suddenly realized that Paul Potts may not be the best opera in the world. For crying out loud.

Second of all, so what? I commented not on what you said, but your motivation in saying it.

Why not just be happy for the bloke? Why nitpick him and drag him down? What do you get from it?
